Shell Design:
The alternation of day and night under Nótt's control is not just the passage of time, but also an important part of the natural cycle. As a carrier of life, the forest intertwines with her divinity in the stillness of the night. Together, they constitute the Norse people's awe and imagination of the natural order. The earphone's CNC-machined aluminum alloy body, integrated with a hybrid acoustic faceplate, achieves this refined aesthetic.
Tuning Concept:
Inspired by the image of the goddess Nott, who rides a black horse, divides day and night, and exudes charm and elegance, the acoustic engineer team at Kinera has developed a 1+2+2 three – way crossover solution. With a focus on vocal pop music, the Nott, the Goddess of Night, features a pitch – black and clean background, complemented by a smooth and sweet mid – frequency range, along with just – right high – frequency extension and low – frequency deep dive, creating a distinct sonic style.
he Kinera acoustic team has developed a composite face cover by combining multiple material dampings with a 3D-structured metal cavity. This design achieves the Helmholtz resonance effect to improve timbre, eliminating the refraction and reflection of high-frequency distortion at specific frequencies within the cavity. Meanwhile, the open air holes reduce ear pressure during wearing, ensuring both sound and user experience are transparent and clean.
A 8mm polymer fiber composite diaphragm dynamic driver is responsible for the low – frequency range.The polymer fiber material is characterized by its light weight, excellent toughness, high rigidity, and low density. The ribbed diaphragm, designed to work in tandem with the N52 High magnetic flux and the acoustically designed metal cover, enables more balanced stress distribution across the diaphragm. This reduces the diaphragm's splitting vibration, improves the accuracy of sound reproduction, ensures sufficient low – frequency extension, and achieves clear and precise sound – field positioning.
Two customized Sonion balanced armature units are responsible for the high frequency and ultra high frequency ranges.The dual balanced – armature composite architecture customized by Kinera can significantly enhance the high – frequency density and ultra – high – frequency extension, delivering natural and clear sound. It can effectively separate the sounds of musical instruments, capture the subtle timbre changes in music, endow each musical instrument with a distinct sense of spatial position and a clear front to back layering, thus creating an immersive atmosphere as silent as the night.
Two customized Knowles full range drivers are in charge of the mid frequency range.Through electronic crossover, the full range units can produce full and rich mid – frequency sounds. They can accurately reproduce the mid frequency components of both vocals and musical instruments, clearly and realistically presenting the texture and granularity of the singer's voice. Moreover, they excel at revealing the details and emotional expressions in music, as if a goddess is gently caressing your ears with her pair of snow – white and flawless hands.
